Who we represent:
BAT was organized by a small group of very concerned
property owners within the
Municipality of Bluewater. Fears about the utilization of valuable farm land
for
industrial use; concern about health and safety impacts; questions about the
effects on
a thriving tourism industry partially driven by the aesthetics of the area;
the devaluation
of personal property; the future of the local environment including birds
and wildlife;
the effects on the migration paths of many species; and, the alarming costs
of wind energy
and escalating power bills led to the formation of BAT.

Ask yourself these questions:
If subsidies are being paid (guaranteed) to
landowners for as high as 80.2 cent/kWh and we as consumers on pay
5.1 - 9.9 cents/kWh (smart meter pricing) – Who is going to make up the
difference?
Who is going to pay for the 20% - 30% equity loss in
property values due to
the close proximity to industrial wind turbine installations?
Why have so many landowners been refused the right to
have their lawyer’s review
their wind energy leases before signing?
Who will have to listen to the swooshing noise and watch the repetitive flicker from the turbine blades?
Why have those families who have abandoned their
properties, consequently been
bought out by the wind energy company been required to sign a GAG order
